Our Funding Model

Canterbury Foundation is a registered not-for-profit licensed supportive living facility with a unique care model, part collective home care contracts, and some designated care funding, combined with accommodation fees and fundraising dollars. There is no profit margin from resident leasing. All money that flows through Canterbury is re-invested into programs, services and infrastructure. There is no private ownership, rather Canterbury is governed by a volunteer board and staff are divided between foundation and union employees.
